Hunters Beware: Latest Australian Outrage Shows Where U.S. May Be Heading
It's hunting season. Asked by a teacher to share something about the activities he's doing at home, a 10-year-old boy brings a bullet to school. Just a bullet. No firearm.
No one knows, or ever finds out, where the boy actually got the bullet. But in these days of raving hysteria about guns, that hardly matters.
The boy's father is fined for firearms-law violations and has to watch as his $3,000 worth of hunting rifles are confiscated for destruction. Worse, the judge's ruling is based in part on actions that aren't even crimes.
Gun owners have long realized that what happens today in Britain or Australia is what victim-disarming politicians plan for the U.S. tomorrow. We need to watch what's going on in those countries. And if we're hunters (or know hunters) who think the anti self-defense hysteria will never apply to us, we'd better think again.
And while we're thinking, let's think about this. If you don't want this sort of outrage to happen here: Show the tape. If you want your friends to wake up to the real meaning of "gun control": Play the DVD. We're talking about the documentary "Innocents Betrayed." And nothing gives us a better chance to turn America from the dangerous path so many other similar countries are heading down. Don't let it happen here. Play the tape for your friends and relatives.
