December 13, 2004 Massachusetts Recognizes Bill of Rights Day
Great news for the citizens of Massachusetts!
On Dec 2, 2004, Governor Mitt Romney declared December 15 as "Bill of Rights Day". The Senate also passed a resolution to that effect.
Last year, an act passed by the Massachusetts House of Representatives stated that, "The Governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart December 15 as Bill Of Rights Day, in recognition of the first ten Amendments to the United States Constitution..."
Another supporter sends word that Sandusky, Ohio has also proclaimed December 15 as Bill of Rights Day. Better yet, this supporter was able to hear the proclamation read while accepting a copy of it on behalf of JPFO!
If you live in Massachusetts or Sandusky, please take time to thank your representatives for honoring the Bill of Rights. If you live in a state that hasn't proclaimed December 15 as Bill of Rights Day, contact your representatives and ask them why!
