Gun Control and Liberal Illusions
Some people live in reality, unpleasant though it sometimes can be. But other people live in a fantasy world, shaped by illusions that are unrealistic and potentially dangerous. The "head-in-the-sand" syndrome is all too common and fogs the ability to tell friend from foe or fact from fantasy. It is perhaps often seen within the suburban "paycheck, two cars, two kids, a dog, and golf on a Saturday morning" group! 'All is well with the world'!
David C. Stolinsky has written the article "Gun Control and Liberal Illusions" dealing with just this very syndrome -- the ability to ignore lessons from history, and a failure to manage logic and common sense regarding guns, self-defense and the true meaning of our Bill of Rights.
