Putting Gun Death Statistics in Perspective

Most gun owners and rational folks are well aware of how gun and homicide statistics can be distorted, and even selectively inflated to suit the purposes of those who seek even more freedom control. Of course, there are those who claim "statistics can be used to prove anything" -- true, if figures are innacurate or 'massaged' to suit a purpose.
One simple statistic is when we compare the huge gun ownership figures of law-abiding people, with the (relatively) miniscule stats for things that get all the blame. Let's be real pessimistic -- say the "bad gun" events are 0.001 (1:1,000), that leaves a huge number of good folks who can be punished by draconian restrictions -- that is, paying the price for the bad guys!

Share it, if only to try and help redress the hype and disinformation shared by so many, who would seemingly welcome further controls on our rights.
