The JPFO Rifle Draw
NOTE: The AR-15 rifle draw is now closed and thanks are due to all who participated. We expect winners to be announced early in October.
We have a new article from Neil Smith in which he takes a look at the diminutive .22LR round, noting just how many firearms are chambered for it and how even though it is puny compared to larger calibers, it still has great popularity. It is likely that most if not all gun owners began shooting .22 when they were young, even if just 'plinking', but even that experience lays a useful foundation for going to larger calibers.
He also notes that with the history, tradition and scale of shooting, both sporting and hunting -- overall cumulative skills available within the shooting population are for the most part significant. He expands from that factoid to suggest that anyone foolish enough to want to tangle with such an experience base might just think twice!
