Here would seem to be yet another in Law Enforcement who just doesn't get it regarding the Second Amendment. He wants to impose his own rules which involve finger-printing any and every gun buyer, as well of course as being a rabid proponent of background checks! He must be friends with Bloomberg!
The battle to preserve privacy, as well as resist all the efforts at what amounts to blatant registration, is constant and ongoing as we see this sort of approach to legal gun ownership being made. The lexicon involved here is very much based on the usual broad spectrum of terms such as "allowed", "reasonable" and "control measures"- that approach which turns black and white regarding rights, into multiple shades of grey.
