The Larger the Citizen, the Smaller the State

Rob Morse reminds us of an old saying "the larger the state, the smaller the citizen" - he decides however to stand that on its head and prefers instead "the larger the citizen, the smaller the state".
Within this framework he looks at the stature of the individual with regard to being independent over matters of choice and in particular the right of self-defense. Comparisons are made between those LE who encourage the armed citizen and then also, the other side of the coin, whereby police can exhibit corruption as well as cases of apparent increasing brutality.
By taking greater personal responsibility with self-reliance, the state can be made relatively smaller -->
