Military officer calls for nationwide gun-grab

How many times do we hear proclamations by anti-freedom people that "Oh yes, I support the Second Amendment"! There then follows a launch into semantics such that there is no individual right acknowledged - only the militia aspect etc. Perhaps also we get the famous statement that guns are just for hunting and anything much outside of that should be banned. Such proponents include the POTUS, the vice president, Chuck Schumer, Dianne Feinstein, Sarah Brady .. and so many more.
It is interesting by the way to note just how much of a purge has been made on high ranking military officers during this administration -- Just one list (of several) of military top officers who have been dismissed, makes for salutary reading. It is tempting to assume that these cases would have been pro-freedom kinds of people, no longer a 'popular' trait.
Here we have a serving officer, Lt. Col. Robert Bateman who states, "My job at the end of the day, is about killing. I orchestrate violence. I am really good at my job," he self-assesses. He wants to limit private gun ownership to "Smoothbore or Rifled muzzle-loading blackpowder muskets ... Double-barrel breech-loading shotguns [and] Bolt-action rifles with a magazine capacity no greater than five rounds.".
