How times have changed. Many can look back to the days when a kid might bring a .22 rifle to school, possibly to shoot some targets after class. Now we see extremes under the guise of 'zero tolerance', whereby a hand pointed to look like a gun is enough to cause instant dismissal. Maybe too, cases like the wrong t-shirt logo -- and then a recent wonderful idea with a school planning a toy guns "buyback" in exchange for a book and possible win of a bicycle. Watch this video below, and wonder at how this would go down!
What would happen today if a child even TALKED about this toy at school? Then, can you imagine a kid bringing this to school for show and tell? The kid would be banned and under psychiatric care for the rest of his life.
